A Story Once Told

Her father died of myocardial infarction. When asked by people what it is. She would just shrug and say “a heart condition…perhaps.” Not much was clear in her memory of the moments she shared with her father.”Do you miss your dad? Do you feel sad?” Those were the questions she could not understand why she was asked. “I don’t know. Yes, I had a father… well I have. I am not sure what verb tense to use. Uhmm… Is it necessary to miss him just because he’s my dad? I mean, will I go against the natural course of things? Will it feel like I’m a rebel creation sheltered in the vastness of nature?” That’s how she Continue reading

How did you celebrate your New Year? Perhaps, most of you, spent it with family, friends, or even dogs, or cats maybe. Whichever and with whom you celebrated it, one thing is for sure, a new year has just been revealed!

Every single year people all over the world celebrate a new year because for many people it opens up new hopes and new doors. Some, may even have traditions to follow in welcoming a new year. I have listed some of the many practices that I have encountered and experienced. You may call them weird, but I think of them as AWESOME! Continue reading

And if by chance I come to hold your hands

Give me time to caress the palm

For the rope can be looped again by ends

And we both again will never go lame

And if by chance you seem to notice

My eyes were swollen in tears

I waited for you on Tuesdays Continue reading

It’s Meet and Greet Weekend at Dream Big!!

Ok so here are the rules:

  1. Leave a link to your page or post in the comments of this post.
  2. Reblog this post.  It helps you, it helps me, it helps everyone!  So don’t be selfish, hit the reblog button.
  3. Edit your reblog post and add tags (i.e. reblogging, reblog, meet n greet, link party, etc.), it helps, trust me on this one.

5 Overused New Year’s Resolution

It’s a new year! Some of us are excited about what 2016 will offer. Some of us are fidgety about what may happen next year. While some of us, perhaps, do not care. Today is the last day of this year and the coming year might be a roller coaster, a bike ride, or perhaps a hoverboard ride, smooth and sailing (only if you know how to do it, which I do not know by the way). That is why people love to have new year’s resolution to reboot the past year and start a new life somehow. Funny, it may seem, but, the world is full of cliched new year’s resolution. I have listed five of them:

This is literally my first post in years

Indeed, language is dynamic.
I LITERALLY love this! opps! 😀

This is something that I’m sure a lot of people have noticed: there is trend toward using the word “literally” in a sentence where the speaker is not actually being literal. For instance:

“There were literally a million people at Dave’s party” (when not even 50 people showed up)
“I literally dropped dead from shock” (when of course that didn’t happen)

This is really starting to irritate people, and “literally” even appeared on a few lists of “words to ban in 2015” such as TIME and TYT. Of course, those aren’t literally attempts to ban the word (ha!), but this is definitely an indication of how annoyed people are.

You Know You’re a Grown Up When…

Few years ago, I was in awe exploring the world of the youth. I cannot say that I enjoyed it because there were tons of things to do in school. So, nothing much in my youth that I enjoy much, but I am fine with that. When I was young, I mean younger (using younger makes a difference), I did ask some adults why they lie about their age or they do not give the specific age at least. I believe that technically, I am neither a teenager nor an adult. But I can spot the difference. Here are some… so far. Continue reading
